On October 26,Vice Minister Zou Zhiwu met with Ms. Aly van Berckel, Director General, and Mr. Bert Wiersema, Deputy Director General of the Customs Administration of the Netherlands in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The two sides jointly evaluated the China-Dutch Customs cooperation and reached the following consensuses on the continuous promotion of the cooperation. Firstly, China-Dutch Customs strategic partnership should be enriched and promoted. Secondly, the two administrations should fully implement technical cooperation projects. Thirdly, both sides should carry out comprehensive cooperation in customs control and enforcement. Fourthly, point to point twinning cooperation programs should be expanded. Fifthly, both sides should continue the intensive participation in the China-EU customs cooperation. Sixthly, the two sides should intensify their coordination and cooperation in the World Customs Organization.
After the meeting, Vice Minister Zou and Ms. Aly van Berckel signed the Minutes of the Meeting, the Twinning Agreement Between Shanghai Customs and Rotterdam Customs, and the Twinning Agreement Between Guangzhou Customs and Schiphol Airport Customs.
