On March 15-16, China and Sweden Customs jointly held the International Cooperation and Trade Facilitation Seminar in Dalian, China.
Both sides had an in-depth discussion on a number of issues, including the implementation of WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement, AEO international cooperation, mutual administrative assistance and cooperation, point to point twinning cooperation, international cooperation on capacity building, supervision cooperation on cross-border e-commerce, as well as China-Sweden Customs Cooperation Plan 2017.
Till now, significant achievements have been achieved between the two administrations over the past two decades, including 13 ministerial-level reciprocal visits, 9 staff-level visits, and the signing of 2 strategic cooperation plans, which set a good example for future customs international cooperation.
Straight after the seminar, the Swedish delegates visited the operation field of Dayaowan Port to learn about port function and layout, as well as its development and construction, and also had a deep conversation with frontline officers concerning Customs inspection, Customs-CIQ cooperation, and safety control.
