On July 18, a bilateral talk was held between Mr. Hu Wei, Vice Minister of General Administration of Customs of China, Mrs. Hercher, Director General of Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance of Germany and Mr. Schroder, President of the Central Customs Authority of Germany in Berlin.

Both sides highly valued the cooperation between China and Germany customs authorities, and exchanged perspectives on the progress of customs reform and development. They also agreed to renew the agreement on capacity building cooperation, to strengthen collaboration in China-Europe Express Freight Train facilitation, law enforcement and intellectual property rights protection, and to further enhance cooperation regarding China-Europe AEO mutual recognition as well as Smart and Secure Trade Lanes Pilot Projects.
