Vice Minister Sun Yibiao Meets with Delegates Respectively from Hungary and Malaysia

On Nov. 2, Vice Minister Sun Yibiao of the GACC met with Mr. Tamas Molnar, Vice State Secretary of Hungarian Ministry of Economy and Concurrently Commissioner-general of Hungarian Customs, and Mr. Khazali Ahamed, Director General of the Royal Malaysian Customs respectively in Beijing.

 

While meeting with Mr. Tamas Molnar, both sides spoke highly of China-Hungary customs cooperation. They reached consensus on the following 4 aspects to strengthen cooperation: to facilitate development of the China-Europe Continental and Maritime Expressway, promote the application of new technologies such as the Secure and Smart Lock and data exchange; strengthen cooperation of enforcement by implementation of the China-Hungary Customs Arrangement, push forward collaboration of cross-check and fighting against smuggling via a third party; promote partnership between Customs and enterprises and implement proactively the Mutual Recognition Arrangement of China-EU Authorized Economic Operator Programmes, and encourage more enterprises to participate in the China-EU Secure and Smart Trade Lane project; promote experience exchange on new customs technologies, equipment and inspection facilities.

 

Mr. Tamas Molnar expressed his appreciation on the progress of pragmatic cooperation between the two Administrations and willingness to further enhance pragmatic cooperation of mutual concern.

 

When meeting with Mr. Khazali Ahamed, Director General of the Royal Malaysian Customs, Vice Minister Sun Yibiao expressed greetings from Minister Yu Guangzhou. Both sides spoke highly of the China-Malaysia Customs cooperation, they exchanged views and reached consensus on such aspects as collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative, implementation of the Action Plan on Mutual Recognition of the Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) Programmes, and further cooperation on enforcement, training and twining cooperation of regional Customs.
