Ningbo Customs Seizes 132,900 Pairs of IPR-Infringing Eyeglasses

Recently in Ningbo Customs District, subordinate Beilun Customs House seized 132,900 pairs of IPR-infringing eyeglasses in an export of declared “plastic eyeglasses” and “wood toys”.

 

Through customs inspection, these eyeglasses were found with “Bay.Bos” mark that appeared similar to the famous trademark of “RAY-BAN”. Later, relevant IPR owner confirmed the IPR infringement. By now, the Customs House has detained this batch of outbound eyeglasses under investigation.

 

Focusing on garment, wristwatches, footwear and electronic products as well as key shipping routes, Ningbo Customs keeps crackdown on IPR infringing acts to protect legal rights of enterprises.

 

Since February 15, Ningbo Customs has been undertaking the “Soaring Dragon 2020” campaign for IPR protection. Till August 31, the Customs District has seized a total of 279 batches, 5.803 million pieces of IPR-infringing goods/articles, valued at 14.966 million yuan.
