On May 23, Ningbo Customs announced that it had successively seized 4 batches of smuggled solid wastes, totally in 15 containers weighing more than 360 tons. The Customs officers found out that those solid wastes declared as “waste plastics” were mainly household refuse including waste plastic bags, waste paper, old clothes, ring-pull cans and shoes. By official professional identification, those solid wastes were largely below national environment control standards. Now they have been returned.
