On April 28, Mr. Ni Yuefeng, Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), met with Mr. Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan, at the headquarters of China Customs.

The two sides exchanged in-depth views on such issues as China-Kazakhstan customs cooperation regarding the synergy between China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative and Kazakhstan’s new economic policy of “Bright Road”, progress in mutual exchange of information, mutual recognition of control and infrastructure connectivity, mutual recognition of authorized economic operators (AEO), experience sharing with regard to Customs Special Control Areas, and acceleration of the construction of Khorgas-Nur Raoh Ports on the border of the two countries.

Mr. Zou Zhiwu, Vice Minister of the GACC, also attended the meeting.
