Under the control of Dalian Customs, the drag-suction dredger “GALILEO” (18,000cbm in volume), built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., was exported abroad on February 3 as the first exported dredge boat from Dalian in recent 10 years.

This drag-suction dredger, 166.14 meters long, 36 meters wide, 13.6 meters deep with the speed of 17.6 knots, is technically advanced in dredging and clearing canals, channels and harbors.

In support of the export, Dalian Customs made advance inspections on crew, ship supplies and spare parts, streamlining relevant administrative approvals; meanwhile, the Customs publicizes customs policies with the shipbuilding firm, solving its problems or demands, and timely issued the “certificate on ship exemption from health control”.
