Sanitary and Phytosanitary Requirements Protocols Signed for Philippines Export of Fresh Coconuts and Frozen Fruits to China

On November 20, Zhao Jianhua, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines, on behalf of the GACC, signed the Protocol of Phytosanitary Requirements for Export of Fresh Coconuts from Philippines to China between General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Agriculture of the Republic of the Philippines and the Protocol of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Requirements for the Export of Frozen Fruits from the Philippines to China between General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health of the Republic of the Philippines with Emmanuel “Manny” Pi?ol, Secretary of the Department of Agriculture of the Philippines and Francisco Tiongson Duque III, Secretary of the Department of Health of the Philippines, under the witness of the heads of state of the two countries.


The signing of the above-mentioned protocols marked that the fresh coconuts and frozen fruits of the Philippines will soon enter the Chinese market, which will further enrich the fruit varieties in the domestic market. It has positive significance for promoting the development of agricultural trade between China and the Philippines and consolidating the good-neighborly friendship between China and the Philippines.
