On June 21, Mr. Lyu Bin, Vice Minister and Head of Guangdong Sub-Administration of the General Administration of Customs of China headed a delegation to General Secretariat for Public Revenue at Ministry of Finance of Greece.
In Athens, Vice Minister Lyu met with Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Public Revenue. A bilateral talk was held to review headway made in customs cooperation between the two countries, and discuss to push forward the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China and the General Secretariat for Public Revenue of the Hellenic Republic Concerning Enhancement of Customs Cooperation in Trade Facilitation, to deepen the collaboration in important cooperation programs between China and European Customs, such as tackling business fraud, AEO mutual recognition, Secure and Smart Trade Line Pilot Program and intellectual property rights protection, to strengthen cooperation in areas such as mutual administrative assistance and China-Europe Land-Sea Express, as well as closer coordination and cooperation on the World Customs Organization affairs.
On the same day, Vice Minister Lyu visited Piraeus Port, learnt about the latest progress of China-Europe Land-Sea Express, and had discussions with representatives from Chinese overseas enterprises regarding business-customs cooperation in Greece.
