On October 13, Minister Yu Guangzhou held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Beliyaninov, Head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
The two sides summarized the outcomes of the meeting of the China-Russia Prime Ministers’ Regular Meeting Committee and the Prime Ministers’ regular meeting concerning the Customs cooperation. Minister Yu and Mr. Beliyaninov positively evaluated the China-Russia economy and trade development and exchanged in-depth views on the bilateral cooperation and reached wide consensus.
Minister Yu made five proposals on further strengthening the cooperation. Firstly, to initiate the “Green Channel” Project under the framework of the mutual exchange of information and further expand the range of the Project. Secondly, to increase the pilot Customs of the mutual recognition of controls with more goods categories and involved field ports; thirdly, to enhance the cooperation in building the Silk Road Economic Belt, promoting the regional connectivity. Fourthly, to launch the cooperation pilot project on trade security and facilitation of goods in container transported by sea, building the platform for the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Fifthly, to deepen the training cooperation of Customs officers, carrying out training evaluation and enriching the training contents.
After the meeting, Minister Yu and Mr. Beliyaninov signed the Minutes of the Meeting of the Heads of China-Russia Customs.
