11/06/2014

Qingdao Dingxiao Fashion Co., Ltd. and 10 other enterprises located in Qingdao Customs District gone through at one go the China-US C-TPAT Joint Validation a few days ago. This group of enterprises, which are the first ones that have passed the Validation in Shandong Province, will be given preferential treatment by the U.S. Customs when exporting to that country.

C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism) is a voluntary supply chain program held by the U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This program intends to protect the legitimate trade and fight against terrorism and smuggling through improving the supply chain and border security based on an enhanced Customs-Business partnership. The Joint Validation, a part of the C-TPAT, is a valuation on Chinese enterprises’ supply chain security made by China and US Customs together. If go through the validation successfully, Chinese enterprises will be granted preferential treatment (for example, less customs inspection) by the U.S. Customs when exporting to the country.

11 manufacturing-based enterprises located in Qingdao Customs District took part in this round of China-US C-TPAT Joint Validation, which is the first of its kind that has been carried out in the Bohai Sea Rim in the North of China. Qingdao Customs District helped these enterprises to go through the valuation by providing consultation services, policy talks and training courses.
