On April 1, relevant IPR holders confirmed in writing that the 174 pieces of garments, earlier seized at Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs House in Gongbei Customs District, were infringing on the “Peppa Pig” copyright of Entertainment One UK Limited and the “GUESS” trademark right of Guess Inc., both of which are registered with the GACC for IPR protection.

This case marked the first seizure since Gongbei Customs took part in 2019’s Guangdong-Hong Kong and Guangdong-Macao customs cooperation in IPR enforcement, as well as the first seizure of IPR infringement at the Bridge port by this Customs.

Now, the IPR-infringing goods are detained under further investigation.
