Shenzhen Customs Seized Cosmetics and Skincare Products Smuggled in Empty Van

On January 11, 2018, Wenjindu Customs House, an affiliate of Shenzhen Customs District, seized 25 boxes of international brand cosmetics and skincare products smuggled in one empty van.

 

In that morning, when a van with Guangdong and Hong Kong license plates which was declared as empty entered Wenjingdu port, Customs officers found through equipment and physical inspection that there were 25 boxes of various cosmetics and skincare products concealed in the van and tool cases on both sides. All 34 kinds of smuggled cosmetics and skincare products were of international brands such as Armani, Givenchy, Estee Lauder and SK-II, with an estimated value of CNY 1.5 million.

 

Due to substantial amount of value involved in the case, the driver has been detained by Customs anti-smuggling bureau for further investigation.
