Yu Guangzhou, Minister of General Administration of China Customs (GACC), met with Mr. Bulavin, Head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation at the Headquarters of GACC on May 13.
Yu welcomed Bulavin to attend the “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation. Bulavin spoke highly of China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative and expressed gratitude for being invited to the Forum. He also expressed his strong will to work closely with China Customs under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Both sides exchanged their views and reached multiple agreements with respect to many issues: creating synergy between the development strategy of the Belt and Road Initiative and those of Eurasian Economic Union; enhancing the cooperation in customs clearance and facilitation; improving multilateral and regional customs cooperation under frameworks of BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization; boosting the cooperation in information exchanges; carrying out local customs cooperation; perfecting and restarting the “Green Channel”; and jointly organizing those related preparations for the 9th Meeting of China-Russia Customs Cooperation Subcommittee and the 4th China-Russia Expo.
