Recently, Xiamen Customs seized 4 animal skins in the luggage of a male returned student, involving wolf, fox and marten furs.
On the morning of March 22, the returned student arrived at Xiamenby the MF806 Flight from Vancouver, Canada. When checking his luggage, the Customs officers found 4 full animal skins including 1 wolf skin, 1 fox skin and 2 marten skins, all looking true to life. The student explained that those skins were bought by himself in Canada as “overseas specialty” to take home.
The Customs reminds that, according to “China’s Directory of the Animals, Plants and Products Banned from Carrying & Mailing Inward”, any passengers without official approval are prohibited from carrying animal skin, fur, hoof, bone, horn and such products inward. Now, the seized animal skins have been transferred to quarantine agency.
