Customs seizure of concealed cigarettes

Recently, Nanchang Customs seized concealment of cigarettes in export goods at Changbei International Airport.

Through the export inspection, customs officers found inconsistency in weight among the same kind of goods and, after opening some cartons, they found many undeclared cigarettes inside, with their outer package indicating plastic swim rings.

It was finally verified that the export consignment from Shandong Province included 231 cartons of goods and 48 cartons therein concealed cigarettes totaling 384,000 pieces. Now, this case is under further investigation.
