Fuzhou Customs Destroys 234,000 IPR-Infringing Goods
01/10/2020

Recently, Fuzhou Customs District destroyed 234,000 pieces of counterfeit goods, including slippers printed with the “FIFA WORLD CUP” mark, lamp-sockets with the “UL” mark, and shoe molds with the “NIKE” and “adidas” marks, totaling 15 tons in weight. The collective destruction was expected to pose a strong deterrence against the IPR infringement.

Since July 1, under GACC deployment, Fuzhou Customs has been carrying out the “Soaring Dragon 2019” campaign for IPR enforcement. Till November, the Customs seized 1,939 batches of infringing goods. On the basis of written confirmation by the IPP owners, it confiscated the counterfeits and imposed administrative penalty on the infringing businesses.

In future, Fuzhou Customs will continue intensive IPR enforcement by means of risk analysis and field inspection so as to optimize the business climate. The Customs always reminds the importers and exporters of enhancing their IPR protection to avoid the infringement.
