The Customs conducts clearance for the inbound diamonds under bond.

Recently in Shanghai Customs District, a batch of diamonds from Belgium, totaling 100.77 karats, cleared customs under bond for their exhibition at the second Import Expo. As the first batch, these bonded diamonds got release on their arrival at Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE) Customs House. 

In order to ensure smooth clearance, SDE Customs House earlier held an info session with over 30 businesses to understand their exhibition requirements. Meanwhile, it set a special service counter with 7×24-hours policy consultation for the exhibitors and also set a special clearance channel with reservation service, so as to make diamond inspection and release without delay on entry.
