03/07/2016

On Feb 21, at Beilun Customs House affiliated to Ningbo Customs District, a clearance officer surnamed Yu quickly checked and released one special declaration for peacekeeping supplies outbound, which were totally over 180-ton weight, over CNY7.5 Million worth for the 4th Chinese peacekeeping police riot squad in Liberia.

This March, the 4th Chinese peacekeeping police riot squad will go to the Liberia mission area of the United Nations for one year's peacekeeping task. Then, they will take on duties such as patrols, armed deterrence, emergency response, etc. in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, to contribute to state reconstruction and public security in Liberia.

Due to short supply in Liberia, the supplies from China were more than 2000 items in a wide range, including food, daily-use articles, and medical products. Lü Fangming, Deputy Chief of the Customs Clearance Section with Beilun Customs House, introduced that the Customs did its utmost to release the supplies as soon as possible by informing in advance the peacekeeping police riot squad of clearance policies and procedures, making an easy clearance plan as per Customs Administrative Measures on Inbound & Outbound Equipment Materials and Personnel of Peacekeeping Force, and setting a green channel for declaration and overtime workers for service.
