On June 20, Mr. Huang Shengqiang, Head of National Office of Port Administration, had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Kuzvinzwa, Acting Commissioner General of Zimbabwe Revenue Authority, in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Both sides reviewed headway made in customs cooperation and agreed to seek to institutionalize the cooperation by accelerated negotiation and an early signing of the MOU on mutual administrative assistance, to explore more effective collaboration approaches in key areas, to strengthen capacity building cooperation in the use of container scanners, breeding and training of detector dogs and integrity building by organizing seminars, training sessions and attachments, and to work for closer coordination within multilateral frameworks such as the World Customs Organization.

After the meeting, Mr. Huang visited the information and declaration processing centers of Zimbabwe Customs and learnt about the customs clearance system.
