On November 18, in Ningbo Customs District, Beilun Customs House seized one batch of Intellectual Property Right (IPR) infringing goods to be exported, involving many famous brands. After being identified by the IPR holders, these counterfeit goods were all detained by the Customs, totally worth CNY 236,000, including 12,700 wristwatches.

When examining the middle-rear part of the container, customs officers discovered some special packages of goods at the bottom. The goods were entirely wrapped by woven bags and sellotape with Chinese characters printed in certain way. When opening these packages, the officers found many different styles of wristwatches, whose plates were marked with such words as “MK”, “GUESS” and “MICHAEL KORS” in a rough form. Besides the watches, the officers also seized 969,600 blades with the trademark “GILLETTE” and 9 handbags with the trademark “GUCCI”, which were also identified to be counterfeit.
