Minister Yu Guangzhou Meets Director General of the Administration of Customs and Tax of Mongolia

On June 24, Minister Yu Guangzhou met with Mr. Purev, Director General of the Administration of Customs and Tax of Mongolia in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

 

Both sides reviewed and spoke highly of the progress of customs and port cooperation, and agreed to strengthen cooperation. Firstly, the two sides should effectively coordinate the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Road of Grassland by customs and port cooperation for better inter-connectivity. Secondly, both Customs administrations should increase the customs clearance capacity and efficiency of ports between China and Mongolia to deepen port cooperation. Thirdly, both sides should promote joint customs control cooperation and expand pilot ports. Fourthly, frontier customs cooperation should be enhanced in different areas. Fifthly, the two sides should strengthen capacity building cooperation and conduct more achievements. Sixthly, the two parties should picture major bilateral cooperation and achieve common goals step by step. Seventhly, both parties should improve trilateral customs cooperation mechanism among China, Russia and Mongolia, and implement the newly signed documents.

 

On the same day, Minister Yu co-chaired a quadrilateral meeting with the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, the Head of Federal Customs Service of Russia and Director General of General Authority for Customs and Taxation of Mongolia, and discussed the quadrilateral cooperation issues with the mentioned parties.
