Ni Yuefeng Inspects Customs Anti-Epidemic Efforts through Video Supervision System

On the afternoon of February 8, Ni Yuefeng, GACC Minister and Commander-in-chief for the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP), inspected through the video supervision system the anti-epidemic efforts of 6 Customs Districts, namely, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Yinchuan and Ningbo. During the video inspection, Ni emphasized work requirements, and extended holiday greetings to customs officers who had been working overtime even during the holiday to fight against the NCP and guarantee the fast clearance of imported anti-epidemic supplies.  


After listening to the reports given by the 6 Customs Districts on their anti-epidemic measures at ports and across the Customs District, and on the clearance of imported anti-epidemic supplies, Ni stressed that local Customs must fully implement President Xi Jinping’s instructions and requirements, as well as the decisions made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, strictly enforce all GACC regulations regarding the prevention and control of the NCP, intensify health quarantine measures over inbound/outbound passengers and transportation conveyance, ensure fast clearance of imported anti-epidemic supplies, so as to prevent and control the spread of the epidemic.  


According to the reports of the 6 Customs Districts, anti-epidemic efforts are now underway in an orderly manner with timely clearance ensured for the imported supplies. Customs officers are in a good state, confident and determined to win the battle against the epidemic.  


Zhang Jiwen, GACC Vice Minister and Deputy Commander-in-chief for the prevention and control of the NCP, also attended the video inspection.
