Recently, 1,503 milk goats from Australia were delivered by air to Zhongchuan International Airport of Lanzhou City, marking the third import of Australian goats by chartered airplane into Gansu Province. 

On arrival of the plane, Lanzhou Customs officers immediately conducted inspection aboard. They counted the import goats, examined their quarantine certificate and flight log, made clinical observation, and disinfected the plane after the goats were unloaded. Then, the Customs fast released the goats and escorted them to a quarantine station for 45 days of quarantine.

During the quarantine period, Lanzhou Customs will assign official veterinarians to around-the-clock control in the station, making lab tests and quarantine over each of the goats. After the period, all qualified goats will be used for breeding in China.
