Dalian Customs Helps Bonded Ore Mixes Exceed 20 Million Tons at Dalian Port
08/30/2018

Customs officers investigate in the ore mix business.

Recently, under the control of Dayaowan Customs House in Dalian Customs District, a cargo ship filled with 360,000 tons of ores from Vale of Brazil was unloaded at the ore quay of Dalian Port. Till then, Dalian’s warehousing of bonded ore mixes totaled 20.19 million tons, becoming China’s first port with bonded ore mixes exceeding 20 million tons.

“Under the guidance of the Customs, we are doing the business of bonded ore mixes, with different countries of origin, different qualities of ores and the mix ratios up to ourselves; this will contribute much to making Dalian Port the base of bonded ore mixes around Bohai Sea region and even Northeast Asia,” said Mr. Han Xu, Deputy General Manager of PDA Bulk and General Cargos Terminal Company.

Dayaowan Customs House is deepening the innovative regulatory mode of “bonded ore mixes” by adopting the trinity of “monitoring on entry + control on processing + inspection on exit”; it also set up Customs-enterprise liaison mechanism to help solve business operation problems, and guided relevant enterprises to carry out entrepot trade, thus helping develop the Port into Northeast Asia’s center of ores distribution and value-added trade services.
