Lianyungang Customs Transfers 48 Confiscated Relics to Museum

On February 26, Lianyungang Customs House (affiliated to Nanjing Customs District) transferred 48 confiscated bronze relics to the museum of Lianyungang City. The transferred relics included bronze-made axes, dagger-axes, short swords as well as ornaments of chariots and horses. Through the identification by local Cultural Relics Administration, those relics dated back to the period from Chinese Warring States to Han Dynasty and were excavated from certain graveyard belonging to ancient Dian Kingdom. Therein, 4 pieces were national grade- relics and 44 ordinary relics. These relics were seized by the Customs from within a consignment to be exported. According to relevant laws and the administrative approval, the Customs turned them over to the local museum.

 

 

  Customs officers and museum workers were counting the historic relics.
