Hangzhou Customs Intercepts 996 Imitation Guns at Yiwu Port

On October 10, Hangzhou Customs confirmed a batch of “plastic toys” to be imitation guns that are prohibited from entry and exit, totaling 996 pieces in quantity.

On the basis of risk assessment, the subordinate Yiwu Customs House intercepted the consignment declared as “plastic toys” and seized these imitation guns through manual inspection. The imitation guns included sniper rifles, submachine guns and pistols, all resembling real guns in appearance and posing certain lethality.

Customs reminder: as the state bans import and export of imitation guns, the Customs will confiscate and destroy the imitation guns seized on entry and exit, penalizing the law breakers involved, and will make criminal prosecution if applicable according to law.
