Gongbei Customs Facilitates Clearance Alongside Inbound Tanker
04/08/2017

On March 24, in Gongbei Customs District, a 100,000-ton Marshall Island soil-tanker unloaded more than 40,000 tons of fuel oil at an oil-depot wharf on one of Wanshan islands, Zhuhai City.

With engine fault, the tanker was delayed more than one day at its anchorage and, due to deep draught, it had to wait for high tide to reach the wharf, so the time got very urgent for the unloading.

Accordingly when the tanker was docked, Wanshan Customs House officers worked overtime to finish clearance alongside as soon as possible, thus saving time for the unloading.

Customs officers were inspecting at the shipside.
