With the upcoming “Double Eleven” (11/11) shopping carnival, Jiangmen Customs District took measures to fastest clear inbound express mails. They optimized control resources, using smart CT machine for parcel inspection in combination with manual check, to achieve higher clearance efficiency.

Besides speeding up the process, the Customs also took tighter control over the risks of prohibited/restricted articles, quarantine, and false declaration by means of field inspection, video monitoring, x-ray machine, etc. According to statistics, from January to October, Jiangmen Customs seized nearly 200 consignments of prohibited/restricted articles in the inbound and outbound express channel.
