Customs inspection of IPR-infringing connecting wires
Recently in Gongbei Customs District, an export of connecting wires was intercepted by Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs House for IPR infringement.
Through out-of-box inspection, customs officers found 629 connecting wires, totaling 160 kilograms, printed with the “COMMSCOPE” trademark while the exporter had no authorization certificate on the trademark. Therefore, the Customs House started the IPR protection by contacting the trademark owner and finally confirmed the infringement on trademark right. Now, the export wires are detained by the Customs House for further investigation.
Since this year, 16 cases of IPR infringement have been handled by Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs House.
