On August 22, Mr. Yu Guangzhou, Minister of General Administration of Customs, met with Kun Nhem, Director General of General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, in Beijing.

Minister Yu Guangzhou and Director General Kun Nhem spoke highly of the bilateral ties and Customs cooperation between the two countries. Both sides shared view that  cooperation between the administrations is closer than ever and with a bright prospect.

Minister Yu Guangzhou put forward five suggestions in terms of their future cooperation: to establish mechanism so as to ensure efficiency and smoothness of bilateral cooperation; to implement preferential trade arrangements so as to promote fast development of bilateral trade; to strengthen enforcement cooperation so as to safeguard border security; to improve capacity building so as to ensure quality service and effective control by both administrations.  

Director General Kun Nhem totally agreed with Minister Yu Guangzhou on his suggestions and expressed his commitment to pushing bilateral Customs cooperation forward and deep appreciation for China Customs’ support to Cambodia Customs in capacity building over the years. 

Vice Minister Zou Zhiwu and Mr. Zhang Guangzhi, Member of the CPC Leadership Group of the GACC, attended the meeting.
