Zhengzhou Customs Helps Export Wooden Furniture from Xinxiang
11/09/2020

In Zhengzhou Customs District, Yuanyang Meizai Furniture Company recently declared over the “International Trade Single Window” platform to Xinxiang Customs House for an export of wooden cabinets (worth 60,000 yuan), enjoying a totally online process from export declaration to customs audit and till self-printing the Certificate of Origin.

Since this year, the Furniture Company has exported 120 batches of wooden furniture worth 12.91 million yuan through fast clearance without delay by Xinxiang Customs House.

To minimize epidemic impact and help foreign-trade growth, Xinxiang Customs House actively makes online clearance for exporters over the “Single Window” with minimal formalities and minimal cost; focusing on foreign quarantine regulations and market demands, the Customs keeps a real-time communication mechanism with the enterprises so as to help them evade external technical barriers to trade and the risk of cargo returning.

The Customs House upholds “smart examination of documents” and self-printing of Certificate of Origin, allowing exporters to online apply for the origin certificate. From January to September, Henan Hongda Wood Company received 12 Certificates of Origin under China-ASEAN and China-Korea free trade agreements, enjoying a total tax cut of 80,000 US dollars at importing countries/regions.

Additionally, the Customs House always monitors the enterprises’ systems on material purchase registration to make sources controllable and processes traceable; it also timely conducts disinsection of storage yards and controls the drying or dehumidification process to prevent products from mildewing or deforming.

During the first nine months, with wood processing industry booming in Xinxiang City, the customs-cleared export wood products totaled over 159 million yuan in value, an increase of 30.2 times year-on-year, giving a boost to local enterprises in overseas marketing.
