On May 10, Minister Yu Guangzhou held a bilateral meeting with Mr.Senko Yury, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk.

The two sides exchanged views and reached extensive consensus on the following topics: to take an active part and make joint efforts in building the Silk Road Economic Belt, to provide customs clearance facilitation measures to China-Europe freight train of “Chongqing-Xinjiang-European Railway” program, to enhance cooperation in enforcement, statistics and capacity building, based on signing the Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters, to step up cooperation between Customs and enterprises, and to strengthen coordination and cooperation under the multilateral framework of the World Customs Organization.

Minister Yu spoke highly of the cooperation between the two sides and put forward three proposals for deepening the cooperation, Firstly, to take the opportunity of jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt, to promote regional connectivity. Secondly, to lay stress on cooperation in trade facilitation and provide convenient and quality services to enterprises, Thirdly, to comprehensively push forward cooperation between China and Belarus Customs by implementing cooperative projects.
