Shijiazhuang Customs Clears “South Korea-China-Kyrgyzstan” Transit Goods Efficiently
06/27/2019

Customs officers seal the containers on the South Korea-China-Kyrgyzstan transit.

On June 15, when the “Xin Yu Jin Xiang” ship from South Korea, carrying 5 containers of goods for Kyrgyzstan, entered the port of Qinhuangdao in Shijiazhuang Customs District, officers of Qinhuangdao Customs House immediately began to handle these containers with electronic data of the transit, and finally cleared all of them within one hour.

Since the “South Korea-China-Kyrgyzstan” transit route was registered with China Customs in 2013, Shijiazhuang Customs has been fully supporting the Qinhuangdao port to be a key junction for the “Belt and Road” development. Particularly, Qinhuangdao Customs House has opened a special “green channel” to shorten clearance time and optimize port business operations; it keeps coordinating between port service agencies and freight forwarders to facilitate container transshipment; provides around-the-clock reservation service and clears the containers in batch on their arrival by paper manifest. To maintain close control in its jurisdiction, the Customs also uses vehicle positioning APP to real-timely monitor the transport positions and traces.

Since 2019, on the “South Korea-China-Kyrgyzstan” transit route, Shijiazhuang Customs District has cleared 148 TEU containers of goods, totaling 1,260 tons (mainly such daily necessities as polyester fabrics, cosmetics and garments), up 12.1% and 13.4% year-on-year respectively, with the aim to promote the trade among the “Belt and Road” countries.
