A GACC delegation headed by Vice Minister Li Guo visited Turkey from September 8 to 11.

Li Guo met with Mr. Akif ?zkaldi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Republic of Turkey. The two sides exchanged views on cherry pest and Turkish Chicken, dairy products and citrus to be imported to China from Turkey. They then signed THE PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE GENERAL ADMINISTRATION OF CUSTOMS OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY ON INSPECTION, QUARANTINE AND VETERINARY SANITARY REQUIREMENTS FOR AQUATIC PRODUCTS TO BE IMPORTED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TO THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CNINA.

Li Guo exchanged views with the Deputy Minister of Turkey Ministry of Trade on the cooperation under the B&R Initiative, TIR, AEO, special customs zone and mutual assistance in law enforcement.

During this visit, Li Guo had a working talk with Deng Li, the Chinese Ambassador to Turkey, and visited Supervision and Command Center of Turkey Customs. Li Guo communicated with managers of Nuctech Turkish branch, and visited national food and inspection laboratory and diary and aquatic establishments in Istanbul.
