On June 13, Vice Minister Zhang Jiwen visited World Trade Organization (WTO) and World Health Organization (WHO).

Vice Minister Zhang held meetings with Mr.Yi Xiaozhun—Deputy Director-General of WTO, Edwini Kessie—Director of Agriculture and Commodities Division of WTO, Aik Hoe Lim—Director of Trade and Environment Division of WTO, exchanging views on the issues such as China’s in-depth engagement in WTO affairs, cooperation on trade facilitation and jointly holding SPS/TBT seminars.   

Vice Minister Zhang held meetings with Dr Jaouad Mahjour—Assistant Director General of WHO and Dr. Bernhard Schwartl?nder—Chef de Cabinet of WHO, exchanging views on the issues such as deepening cooperation between China Customs and WHO, improving core competencies of port public health, and jointly promoting the development of International Health Regulations collaborating center.

During his visit, Vice Minister Zhang also made working exchanges with Mr. Chen Xu, Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, and Ms.Li Yihong, Charge d'Affaires of China’s Mission to the World Trade Organization, and paid a visit to COFCO International.
