Dalian Customs Seizes Largest IPR Infringement in Postal Parcels

On September 22, Dalian Customs intercepted an intellectual property right (IPR) infringement in postal parcels, with 653 pieces of counterfeit goods involving many branded sport shoes and garments.

 

Recently, Dalian Customs was informed of a batch of counterfeit goods to be mailed abroad. On that day, the officers noticed more than 1,100 parcels belonging to one consignor would be mailed to more than 30 countries like France, Germany and the Netherlands. Under further inspection, over 600 parcels of goods were found IPR infringement, including 491 pairs of sport shoes with NIKE, ADIDAS, PUMA and VANS trademarks and 162 pieces of garments and scarves with ADIDAS, PUMA, LV and GUCCI trademarks. The Customs contacted respectively the trademark owners who confirmed the infringement.
