Recently, Chongqing Customs intercepted an intellectual property right (IPR) infringement in postal parcels, with 999 pieces of commodities of internationally branded handbags, card bags, leather shoes, etc. contained in 860 parcels.

On July 12, Chongqing Customs postal officers X-rayed 76 outbound parcels to be suspected of IPR infringement and, through unpacking inspection, identified 85 commodities infringing on IPR; as of July 31, the Customs seized totally 860 parcels with 999 commodities infringing LV, MK, KS, GUCCI, ADIDAS and other international famous brands.

Now, the above commodities have been verified counterfeit and, because of their large quantity, Chongqing Customs has informed local Public Security Bureau of this case in line with the regulation of "connecting administrative enforcement with criminal justice".
