Customs officers supervise the loading and unloading of the import cattle.

On September 11-12, Dongying Customs House in Jinan Customs District conducted expedite clearance of 3,578 live cattle from Australia, finishing such first import into Dongying Port since China’s entry-exit inspection and quarantine workforce was integrated into Customs authority.

Under the customs-quarantine integration, Dongying Customs opened a green channel for the import cattle, with cargo declaration processed in a one-off manner; Customs officers went aboard the carrying ship for cattle inspection and quarantine, reducing both clearance procedures and detention time; till the morning of Sept 12, all the 3,578 cattle were unloaded on the basis of Customs release, and then transported under Customs control to local quarantine station.
