Customs officers inspect the imported microfibre materials.

Recently, Huafon Microfibre (Jiangsu) Company’s 16th microfibre production line, imported from the EU, was installed under the field control of Qidong Customs officers subordinate to Nanjing Customs District. So far, all the imported pieces of equipment for Huafon’s microfibre project, under Qidong Customs control, have totaled 2 billion Yuan in value, and the project is expected to make China’s biggest base of microfibre manufacturing.  

To facilitate relevant equipment imports, Qidong Customs House set up a special work-group that is engaged in: interpreting customs policies at the Company site, giving instructions on import declaration, equipment standards, and inspection requirements; learning the Company’s production plan and the time of import arrival; arranging overtime work on the field inspection; verifying the safety and energy-efficiency labels of import equipment, so as to ensure the equipment to be installed and applied as soon as possible.
