On June 20, at 20:30 or so, Ningbo Customs-stationed airport office, by opening a “green channel”, speedily released 3 tons of fresh waxberries planted in Cixi, worth USD38,610. This is the first exported batch of local fresh waxberries this year. “It is urgent in time to pick and transport waxberries, all to be done within one day to ensure fresh export; thanks to the Customs release in time, our waxberries were finally delivered in fresh state,” said Mr. Wang with ShunFeng Express Company.
In view of time-limit requirement for the fruit export, the Customs communicated in advance with the exporter and the logistics company and, by the experience of last year, opened the “green channel” for faster release with officers in service overtime.
Customs officers were inspecting fresh waxberries to be exported overtime.
