When containers are used in international transport, their license plates approved by the Customs shall be mounted on them. Serial numbers marked on the outside of the containers shall be consistent with those specified on their license plates approved by the Customs. 

Before the containers homemade or imported are applied to international transport, the transport operators shall go through container registration formalities with local Customs. If export and export-tax refund formalities have been completed for containers made in China, there is no need to register with the Customs, and the registration which has been completed will be cancelled.
