Customs officers inspect the imported substandard toothbrushes.

Recently, Suzhou Industrial Park Customs House, subordinate to Nanjing Customs District, conducted the return process of a batch of substandard toothbrushes imported from Japan, totaling 776 pieces.

This Customs House, as per China’s national mandatory standard of GB19342-2013, made sampling inspections over the toothbrushes on such indicators as hygiene, content of heavy metal, bristle tension, neck bending resistance, monofilament curving rate, sanding, and label. The test result showed some major quality indicators, including label and monofilament curving rate, failed to reach the standard.
