On May 17, PUMA AG gave a confirmation that 7,680 slipper laces with puma marks, which have been seized by Xiamen Gaoqi Airport Customs House, were infringing on PUMA’s intellectual property right (IPR).
A few days ago, a trading company based in Fuzhou declared to Xiamen Customs for exporting slipper laces. The Customs officers found that bundles of black slipper laces were only placed in green plastic bags and that doubtable “puma” graphical logo was printed on the surface and base buttons of those laces, totaling 7,680 laces.
Xiamen Customs seized IPR-infringing slipper laces.
