On April 28, the 18th China Chenghai International Toys & Gifts Fair (CCITF) opened in Chenghai District, Shantou City and drew in many purchasers from more than 50 countries and regions as well as over 500 exhibitors from countries of origin for toys. Chenghai Customs House (affiliated to Shantou Customs District) set up a special information desk and distributed legal publicizing brochures to make policy promotion in many ways.
According to Shantou Customs statistics, in the first quarter of 2016, toy export from Shantou City reached RMB1.36 billion, a 23.4% year-on-year increase. Therein, private enterprises contributed a lot with export value totaling RMB1.22 billion, accounting for 89.8% that increased by 2.6% from a year earlier.
