Nanjing Customs Helps Aquatic Product Export from Lianyungang
10/08/2019

According to Nanjing Customs statistics, from January till August, Lianyungang City exported 31 aquatic products to 17 countries/regions overseas, registering the export quantity as 6,519 tons and export value USD38.14 million, up 20.2% and up 18% year-on-year, respectively.

On September 20, Lianyungang Customs officers (subordinate to Nanjing Customs District) conducted inspection and quarantine in the field of Jiangsu Oceangift Company over export fish products including frozen fillets and shredded squids. The officers checked the goods and relevant certificates in terms of commodity specification, freshness, impurity, disease and pest, toxic and harmful residues.

The Customs keeps strict in the sampling inspection and risk monitoring on aquatic products as well as strict in enterprise integrity management. By taking convenient measures such as one-stop declaration on the “Single Window” platform, “inspection-quarantine integration”, “release after document examination”, and “advance declaration, clearance reservation”, the Customs helps enterprises finish clearance at higher efficiency and lower cost. It also provides risk pre-warning, business consulting and technical support services for local enterprises to obtain foreign-trade qualification and expand exports.

“With the help of Lianyungang Customs, we have got export qualifications for USA, EU, Russia, South Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia, promoting our products on the international market,” said Mr. He Song, president of Oceangift Company.
