On March 26, under the quarantine control of Changchun Customs, 107 tons of processed rice straws were exported to Japan in the 37th batch as animal fodder. 

In the face of global epidemic spread, with Japan short of straw supply, Changchun Customs greatly supported the straw export from Jilin Province. Through communication with the Japanese side, the Customs provided overall guidance for domestic suppliers in the straw processing, containerization and transportation to meet the latest Japanese standard on the product. The Customs also sent personnel to the businesses for field control and services, ensuring fast inspection and clearance without delay.

According to Changchun Customs statistics, since 2020, the rice-straw export from Jilin Province has been growing and till now totaled 37 batches (up 33.3% year-on-year), 3,152.3 tons (up 58.7% year-on-year) and USD816,000 worth (up 58% year-on-year), with 80phytosanitary certificates and veterinary sanitary certificates issued.
