On September 13, for the first time Changchun Customs-stationed post office seized 4 live snakes smuggled inward by mail. Onsite inspectors initially identified the snakes as “python regius” which are listed as a protected animal in Appendix Ⅱ to the “Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora”.
