On April 13, one seriously ill Taiwanese patient required return from WuxiShuofangAirporttoTaiwanfor urgent medical treatment with a stretcher for his boarding because of cerebral artery bleeding resulted from tumor rupture. When receiving the application from the patient’s attendants, officers of Wuxi Airport Office under Wuxi Customs (affiliated to Nanjing Customs District) immediately launched an emergency response plan to inspect in advance the patient’s attendants, luggage and medical devices and opened a “green passage of life” with officers assisting doctors taking the patient directly to the apron to get on board by ambulance, thus saving precious time for treatment.
